I'm gonna be honest, I really couldn't get into Lain until I played the PS1 Game.
Like, sure, the psychosis / not feeling real was relatable but i didn't really get it
that was until I played the PS1 game!

ALLEN: Um, they're okay.
BATEMAN: Their early work was a little too convoluted for my taste, but when the Lain PS1 game came out in 1998, I think they really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole game was made by a low-budget studio that funnelled all their passion into this one project, and while the ending of this game is different, it completes the shows ending. It's been compared to other games featuring mental illness but I think Lain has a far more direct approach.

BATEMAN: Yes, it is. In 1998, mental illness in Japan was hardly discussed, let alone mentioned. For a game to feature the main character of the show being in therapy and the other main character being a therapist herself was revolutionary for such a small studio. Most people gloss over the game as they don't see it as a 'game' but they are really missing out on an experience you can't find anywhere else. Hey Paul!

I started watching Hannibal but I never actually finished it, I wanna watch FLCL but I just can't find the time!
I also finished Gundam Witch of Mercury which is SUCH AN AMAZING SHOW I CANNOT RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH!!!!

The performances given in this movie are incredible, Kurt Russell is hot and the horror is amazing
It does keep you on edge and makes you guess who is infected and who isn't, really sells that hysteria the rest of the crew are feeling

First of all, fuck this movie.
I hate this movie so much, it's genuinely terrible, which is a shame because Brian Jones' casting is perfect
however, its ruined by a terrible script that really doesnt invest you at all and at times is so fucking outlandish its hard to believe whats going on
don't watch this movie . I tried to make my own script as a replacement for this movie but I got too distracted :P
Can you believe I actually like a David Bowie film?
Not really a movie, more so a documentary, but still really well put together and kinda out there ?
there's a lot going on, I think it does well at summerising what he was about, not who he was, it's really captivating and beautiful at times
also space oddity is now one my favourite songs and it inspired me to paint again! it wasnt very good but whatever
whitewashed, liberalised but still an enjoyable watch
some amazing performances given, especially Abbie's casting and actor, chefs kiss, it really gets you hooked into their story
HOWEVER - this cannot be stressed , its very liberalised and not historically accurate, Schultz was worse and there was no 'clapping' at the end :P
still a good movie however, though i wish they included phil ochs :(

i've finished reading R.D. Laing's 'The Divided Self,' im planning to reread it but goddamn ... maybe im insane but half of what it says is kinda relatable
i'd also like to own his book 'The Politics of Experience' but im fucking BROKE
i felt like im doing something more but ive completely forgotten :P
